This poem was created to honor the collective voices of family members and friends that were left with the responsibility of cleaning up their loved ones' crime scene. Hearing their brave testimonies, changed me. As they relived their traumatic experience, I shared in their pain, disappointment, and sorrow. I thank the brave souls that shared their stories and I will work with them to make sure that no person has to ever clean up their loved ones' crime scene in Philadelphia or in this country.
